This is the place where you can personalize your profile!
But, how?
By moving, adding and personalizing widgets.
You can drag and drop to rearrange.
You can edit widgets to customize them.
The left side has widgets you can add!
Some widgets you can only access when you get a premium membership.
Some widgets have options that are only available when you get a premium membership.
We've split the page into zones!
Certain widgets can only be added to certain zones.
"Why," you ask? Because we want profile pages to have freedom of customization, but also to have some consistency. This way, when anyone visits a deviant, they know they can always find the art in the top left, and personal info in the top right.
Don't forget, restraints can bring out the creativity in you!
Now go forth and astound us all with your devious profiles!
Stopped by to apologize if I was irritable or sounded rediculous at the convention. I drove eight hours and then could not check in to the hotel, yada yada blah later, but thanks for being so damn great. If I knew you were published I would have not handed you such shit art in appreciation. I apologize for my crap monster drawing being in the back of such a wonderfully stylish novel I had fun reading. I hope you had a good time at the convention and sold alot of work. You have such a distinct and interesting style, I felt kind of bad having my shit there in the back. Either way, thanks for being so damn nice. And the tattoo of your name, on your elbow, really nice work. You should do tattoo work.
And I wasn't joking about the crankiness, I really was sorry about that. I would have chatted longer if I was not in such a f**King fog. Cleveland to Chicago wasn't the most fun in a car.
I am joking. I did have one question though. How did you come about such an individualistic style. I am working on an illustrated novel as we speak (finally 10,000 words in) and I just wanted maybe some advice. It will not have panels but be more of a fairy tale with full ink work paintings. Sorry to gush I just wondered how to keep individual and motivated while actually getting published.
hmmm, ask 4 people and you'll get 5 different answers. just let your art/style evolve naturally, and try to push yourself without rushing yourself.
As for publishing, self-publishing has gotten a lot easier with print-on-demand printers (no minimums)- but 'getting published' will get you better distributuion.I'm a 'selfy', so you'd wanna ask around a bit to other artists on that one...

Well I will ask then, what are the pro's and con's of self publishing. I thought of actually going that route because alot of submissions have strict formats that I do not follow. Either way, I thank you for your advice. You have been kind.
cheers, thomas
It's good to see an artist that breaks away from the serious and imagery aspects of art and turns it into expressions.
I also like your casual yet conflicting colour choices that just exude happiness or interest.
